U.S. President Donald Trump announced late Saturday that American forces carried out precision airstrikes on three of Iran’s most fortified nuclear facilities—Fordow, Natanz, and Esfahan.
Speaking from the White House, Trump said the strikes were intended to dismantle Iran’s nuclear program and eliminate what he called a global threat.
> “A short time ago, the U.S. military executed massive precision strikes on the Iranian regime’s key nuclear sites: Fordow, Natanz, and Esfahan,” Trump declared.
“Our mission was clear: to destroy Iran’s nuclear enrichment capability and neutralize the threat posed by the world’s leading state sponsor of terror.”
The president described the operation as a major military achievement and issued a stern warning to Iran.
“Tonight, I can report to the world that the strikes were a spectacular military success. Iran’s main nuclear enrichment sites have been totally obliterated,” he said.
“Iran, the bully of the Middle East, must now choose peace. If not, the next wave of strikes will be far more devastating—and far easier.”
Trump emphasized the effectiveness of the U.S. military and hinted at further action if Iran fails to comply.
“There are still many targets remaining. Tonight’s strike was the most complex and perhaps the deadliest. But make no mistake—if peace does not follow, we will act again with speed, precision, and overwhelming force,” he added.
“No other military in the world could have accomplished what we did tonight—not even close.”
Earlier, Trump had announced the operation via his Truth Social platform:
“We have completed a very successful attack on the three nuclear sites in Iran. All aircraft are out of Iranian airspace. Full payloads were delivered, especially on Fordow. Our brave American warriors have returned safely. NOW IS THE TIME FOR PEACE!”
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu praised the U.S. action, calling it a decisive moment.
“Congratulations, President Trump. Your bold decision to strike Iran’s nuclear facilities with the righteous power of the United States will change the course of history,” Netanyahu posted.
