As tensions escalate between Iran and Israel, the United Kingdom has temporarily withdrawn the family members of its diplomatic staff in Israel, the Foreign Office confirmed on Wednesday.
The precautionary measure affects relatives of staff based at the British Embassy in Tel Aviv and the Consulate in Jerusalem. However, diplomatic personnel will continue their duties in the region.
“The families have been temporarily withdrawn as a safety measure,” the Foreign Office stated.
