President Donald Trump has announced the launch of a new website — TrumpCard.gov — for applicants interested in a proposed $5 million US residency visa, dubbed “The Trump Card.”
In a social media post on Wednesday, Trump said, “Thousands have been calling and asking how they can sign up to ride a beautiful road in gaining access to the Greatest Country and Market anywhere in the World.”
The golden visa, first revealed in April aboard Air Force One with a prototype bearing Trump’s face, is not yet available. However, the site now allows users to register interest by submitting their name, preferred visa type, and email under the tagline: “The Trump Card is Coming.”
What Is the Trump Card?
Described by Trump as a premium version of the traditional green card, the $5 million visa is targeted at high-net-worth individuals and entrepreneurs. The former president claims the initiative could generate revenue to help reduce the US national deficit and attract global job creators.
Timing and Controversy
The announcement comes amid an escalation of immigration enforcement nationwide, sparking widespread protests and legal challenges over civil rights concerns. Despite the controversy, Trump reiterated that the card could be a path to US citizenship and hinted that even Russian oligarchs might qualify.
