Israeli emergency services have confirmed that two people were killed after rocket fire struck a residential area in the coastal plain on Saturday, following Iran’s launch of multiple missile barrages.
According to Magen David Adom, Israel’s national emergency service, a woman in her 60s was found without signs of life, and a man in his mid-40s was critically injured and later pronounced dead. Nineteen additional individuals sustained injuries in the attack.
Iran recently unveiled a new ballistic missile capable of reaching targets up to 1,200 kilometers away, further escalating tensions in the region.
