The naira appreciated yesterday to N1,615 per dollar in the parallel market, improving from N1,620 per dollar recorded on Tuesday.
Similarly, the naira gained value in the Nigerian Foreign Exchange Market (NFEM), closing at N1,564 per dollar.
Data from the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) revealed that the exchange rate in the NFEM improved from N1,579 per dollar on Tuesday to N1,564 per dollar, reflecting a N15 appreciation for the naira.
As a result, the gap between the parallel market rate and the NFEM rate widened to N51 per dollar, up from N41 per dollar the previous day.
