Air Peace Marks Key Milestone on Lagos-London Route, Plans Expansion

Air Peace has achieved a significant milestone on its Lagos-London route, having completed 662 flights and transported over 136,000 passengers since its inaugural flight on March 30, 2024.

Ejike Ndiulo, the airline’s Head of Corporate Communications, confirmed that the airline has now operated over 662 flights, carrying more than 136,661 passengers on this route.

The airline’s entry into the European market is regarded as a historic achievement, underscoring its commitment to offering competitive pricing, outstanding service, and a premium travel experience aboard its Boeing 777 aircraft.

Allen Onyema, Chairman and CEO of Air Peace, expressed pride in the airline’s success over the past year.

“The launch of our Lagos-London route was a landmark moment for both Air Peace and Nigerian aviation. A year later, we continue to operate successfully, providing excellent service, enhancing passenger benefits, and contributing to the Nigerian economy. This achievement reinforces our mission of making international travel more accessible and affordable for Nigerians,” Onyema stated.

He also emphasized the crucial role of national support in ensuring the sustainability of the London route, noting that Nigerians play an essential role in strengthening the airline’s position.

“Air Peace’s Lagos-London services have had a significant impact on Nigeria’s economy and aviation sector, creating jobs, boosting tourism and business travel, enhancing Nigeria’s global aviation presence, and encouraging healthy competition that benefits travelers through lower fares and improved services.”

The airline is dedicated to growing its international footprint and plans to expand its long-haul routes and further enhance its service offerings in the near future.
