Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has congratulated former U.S. President Donald Trump for ordering airstrikes on Iranian nuclear facilities, calling the move a decisive and historic act that could reshape the Middle East.
In a video statement on Sunday, Netanyahu praised Trump’s decision to target Iran’s nuclear infrastructure, saying, “Congratulations, President Trump. Your bold action to strike Iran’s nuclear sites with the righteous might of the United States will change history.”
Netanyahu described the U.S. attack as a “pivot of history,” claiming it would advance peace and prosperity in the region. He reiterated a long-held belief shared with Trump: “Peace through strength. First comes strength, then comes peace.”
The Israeli leader also confirmed that the strikes were coordinated closely with Israel, asserting that the long-standing goal of halting Iran’s nuclear ambitions had now been achieved.
Trump announced on his social media platform that U.S. forces had targeted key Iranian nuclear sites, including the Fordo enrichment plant, Natanz, and Isfahan. The strikes mark Washington’s direct entry into the escalating conflict between Israel and Iran, which has intensified since Israel launched strikes on June 13, alleging Tehran was nearing nuclear weapon capability — a claim Iran continues to deny.
The latest developments underscore the growing volatility in the region and highlight renewed U.S.-Israel military cooperation.
