Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu declared on Thursday that Israel is “changing the face of the world” through its ongoing war with Iran, calling for “all help” to eliminate Iran’s nuclear facilities.
Speaking to public broadcaster Kan, Netanyahu said, “I said we’re changing the face of the Middle East, and now I say we’re changing the face of the world.” Seven days into the conflict, he claimed Israeli forces were ahead of schedule in targeting Iranian nuclear and missile sites but declined to provide a timeline for the war’s end.
“We are at war. I won’t reveal our timeline or inform the Iranians of our plans,” Netanyahu stated. “When you enter a war, you know when it begins, but not when it ends.”
He reported that over half of Iran’s missile launchers have been destroyed and asserted that Israel is capable of striking all Iranian nuclear facilities. Acknowledging the importance of the United States, he added, “All help is welcome.”
Netanyahu also remarked that US President Donald Trump “will do what is good for the United States, and I will do what is good for the State of Israel.” Following the interview, Trump indicated he would decide within two weeks whether to intervene militarily in Iran, citing a “substantial” chance for negotiations.
