Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said on Sunday that Russia may be considering an end to the ongoing war but stressed that a ceasefire must come first.
“It’s a positive sign that the Russians are finally starting to think about ending the war,” Zelensky stated on social media. “The entire world has waited a long time for this. A ceasefire is the first real step toward peace.”
This statement comes amid rising international pressure for a resolution and renewed diplomatic efforts to end the conflict.
