In a powerful display of community partnership and compassion, the Mojibola Adeleke Foundation has taken its mission of holistic empowerment to the classrooms of Abolarin College. On February 12, 2026, the foundation launched its “Pad Up a Girl Child” project at the school, an initiative designed to tackle menstrual hygiene management head-on and ensure female students never have to miss class due to a lack of basic necessities.

The outreach program received an extraordinary endorsement when the foundation team was warmly received by the college’s founder, His Royal Majesty, Oba (Dr.) Omoniyi Abolarin, the Orangun of Oke-Ila Orangun. The royal father’s presence lent immense gravitas to the event, underscoring the critical importance of supporting young women’s education and well-being.
The “Pad Up a Girl Child” project was executed with a clear three-pronged objective: to provide essential sanitary products, break the pervasive stigma surrounding menstruation, and reinforce the foundation’s commitment to community development. During the visit, the foundation team conducted an interactive sensitization talk with the female students, fostering open conversations about menstrual health, dispelling myths, and promoting a healthy understanding of puberty.

The core of the initiative saw the distribution of carefully packaged, high-quality sanitary pads to the students. The gesture was met with immense gratitude and visible relief from the beneficiaries, who now have one less barrier to their education.
“The presence and personal blessing of HRM Oba Abolarin significantly boosted the morale of the students and reinforced our message of dignity and self-care,” a representative from the Mojibola Adeleke Foundation stated. “This project is a clear reflection of our unwavering dedication to uplifting vulnerable communities through direct, compassion-driven action.”

The impact of the visit was immediate and strategic. By addressing an urgent recurring need, the foundation ensured students can manage their menstrual health with dignity, directly removing a common reason for school absenteeism. Strategically, the royal endorsement has powerfully aligned the foundation with traditional leadership, amplifying its credibility and message throughout the community.

The resounding success of the visit has laid a robust groundwork for future collaboration. The Mojibola Adeleke Foundation has now established a strong relationship with Abolarin College, opening doors for sustained support mechanisms, future donations, educational workshops, and deeper collaborative projects aimed at supporting the educational journey of young women in Oke-Ila.
