Dangote Refinery Not Competing with NNPC, Says Aliko Dangote

The President of the Dangote Group, Aliko Dangote, has clarified that the Dangote refinery is not competing with the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited. Dangote made this statement during a visit to the new Group Chief Executive Officer of NNPC, Bayo Ojulari, in Abuja.

According to a statement released by NNPC spokesperson Olufemi Soneye, Dangote emphasized the importance of cooperation between the two organizations to ensure energy security for Nigeria. “There is no competition between us; we are not here to compete with NNPC Ltd. NNPC is part and parcel of our business, and we are also part of NNPC. This is an era of cooperation between the two organisations,” Dangote said.

The two firms agreed to deepen collaboration aimed at ensuring Nigeria’s energy security and advancing shared prosperity for Nigerians. The NNPC GCEO, Ojulari, assured Dangote of a mutually beneficial partnership anchored on healthy competition and productive collaboration.

Both executives committed to being relationship managers for their respective organizations, envisioning limitless opportunities for both organizations through sustained productive collaboration and healthy competition.
