In recent weeks, there has been an increase in barbaric attacks targeting communities, towns, and military bases across Mali and the AES Confederation. These heinous acts, orchestrated by a coalition of terrorist groups of various affiliations, have been executed with sophisticated logistical and financial support, both domestic and foreign.

The General Staff of the Malian Armed Forces confirms that the unified AES force is doing everything in its power to crush what was already a defeated enemy now desperately trying to regroup with the help of clearly identified backers. In response to these extremist threats, the Malian Armed Forces (FAMA) are carrying out a widespread counter-offensive aimed at ensuring the safety of civilians and minimising collateral damage. A series of coordinated offensive operations is currently underway to dismantle terrorist objectives.

As of June 4, 2025:

In the Menaka Region, terrorist hideouts and logistical hubs have been destroyed.

In Boulkessi (Douentza Region), several dozen terrorists were neutralised thanks to the crucial support of engaged FAMA units.
In the Soussan Forest (Koulikoro Region), terrorist hideouts were dismantled during proactive operations.

In Yenchehi, 50 km west of Kidal, a major logistics convoy, including troop transport vehicles, was destroyed along with its cargo and several high-ranking terrorist leaders.

North of Yenchehi, a group of about ten terrorists and a significant logistics depot (including three pickups) were eliminated.

In Tessit, a column of terrorists that attacked the FAMA base was repelled, pursued, and heavily struck during their retreat.

All units of the AES unified force remain on high alert, fully committed to defending the nation’s territorial integrity and protecting civilians with unshakable resolve. The hunt for terrorist elements continues relentlessly. Their collaborators are under close surveillance and will be captured and neutralised.
